The much awaited Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week – 2010!

ashima detailThe Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, an initiative by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) started on 24th October 2010 with much fanfare. It showcased the Spring/Summer 2011 collection with great emphasis on rainbow patterns, hues with a tinge of citrus, beiges and whites and all other breezy colors that will compliment the Indian summers in 2011.

The first day of the show completely belonged to the new designers who put up really great designs that were innovative, decent and smartly tailored. The major trend focused on wearable dresses accompanied with functionality.

Apart from this other creations of notable designers seen on the ramp were;

The famous Ritu Beri with her trendy collection of silhouettes! She also showcased embroidered flared jeans, leather skirts, thigh high boots, ruffle jackets, lace dresses etc. JJ Valaya’s creation was out and out only traditional Indian ensembles that included Anarkali suits, beautiful georgette saris, altars etc. Other noteworthy creations of designers such as Rahul Mishra, Pallavi Mohan, Himanshu and Smita and others could also be seen that were a treat to watch.
